Types of Medication COMBI Combines daily treatment and symptom control For regular, daily use AND for use when having asthma symptoms Usually red, orange, or purple PREVENTER Reduces inflammation to reduce sensitivity to triggers Taken daily Long acting Usually brown RELIEVER Relaxes airways to make breathing easier straight away Taken as needed Short acting Usually blue haringey.gov.uk

  8. Inhalers and Spacers EVERYONE should use a spacer, even adults They should be cleaned by rinsing and drip dried Spacers are single-person use haringey.gov.uk
