Partnering with the church, SIM Ecuador seeks to make disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ in communities where he is least known.
Communities where Christ is least known Communities where Christ is least known Southern Loja Province Many remain strongly tied to Roman Catholicism, or practice Folk-Catholicism. Evangelical believers face opposition when they deny traditional beliefs. 12 -15% of this area s population are illiterate. There are many sects, which distort the teaching of the gospel and confuse believers. Pray for more workers to teach, disciple and mentor believers.
Communities where Christ is least known College students and youth 70% of Ecuador s population is under 49. SIM reaches out to students in Loja on campus. Students and young workers are looking for a brighter future and, through relationships, we seek to share the gospel hope. Pray for workers to build relationship with and disciple the students they are serving.
Pray with SIM Ecuador For believers in rural areas to be courageous ambassadors for Christ. For ministries equipping leaders through training programmes and ongoing discipleship. For wise expansion of the youth ministry in the universities. For continued work in urban areas, partnering with local churches. For workers to join the growing ministries
